The beginning of his work was influenced by naive art and fine art. One of the milestones was a few years in Malta, where experimentation with abstract art took place, as well as a strong influence of oriental ornaments with Mediterranean colors, which were reflected in several paintings that were highly elaborated in detail. All of this resulted in a collection called Year, consisting of 12 paintings. The entire series took 6 years to create and was sold to a private collection immediately after completion.
The leap to more complex mixed media large format painting was made possible by inspiration from traveling in Europe, mainly the Azores, Lisbon, Berlin and a stay in Mauritius. This led to the painting Afternoon in 2018, where the first signs of eco art began to appear. 4 years later, another large-scale follow-up, Afternoon 2, was created, where again the relationship between man and fauna was the subject. In the paintings of recent years we see realistic imagery in the idea of eco-art, partly surrealistic, but still in the spirit of free thinking without the boundaries defined by individual artistic movements. After ten years of using oil paints, acrylic paints are again applied, for example in the series of five paintings Morning Coffee playing with the construction of the painting and the golden section.
All the paintings are accompanied, including the variety, by a certain wit, thought, satire, exaggeration and amusement. Like grooves on a vinyl record, each brushstroke captures a place, a feeling and a moment in the painting process. Looking at the painting, the story of the entire work is replayed. The painting does not age, nor does it have an expiration date. The original work matures like wine and its value has the potential to increase with time.

Petraz belongs to the generation of contemporary Central European artists. Over the last 15 years, her work has undergone a visible evolution. She has been experimenting with different directions, themes and combining them together. Thanks to her self-directed education and her work in several European countries, she was able to work her way to her unmistakable style today. In most of her works she deals with the relationships in our society as a whole and the relationship with nature, especially with animals, which sometimes satirically symbolize the contradictory nature of man. Each painting has a carefully considered structure and composition. Everything has its place, its role and its aesthetic purpose. At the same time, there is no visible boundary of a predefined artistic direction. For this reason, one can speculate whether the paintings are surrealistic, naive, symbolic or whether they may belong to eco-art. In the case of Petraz’s work, one cannot speak of an explosion of actual emotions imprinted on the canvas. All the subjects of the paintings and the preparations matured over a period of time until the final result. Above all, Petraz’s paintings are a reflection of the richness of her ideas and identity.

Počátek tvorby byl ovlivněn naivním uměním a fine artem. Jedním z milníků se stalo několikaleté působení na Maltě, kde proběhlo experimentování jak s abstraktním uměním, tak silný vliv měly orientální ornamenty se středomořskými barvami, které se promítly do několika obrazů značně propracovaných v detailech. To vše vyústilo v kolekci s názvem Rok skládající se z 12cti obrazů. Celá série vznikala 6 let a byla bezprostředně po dokončení prodána do soukromé sbírky. Skok ke složitější kombinované velkoformátové malbě umožnila inspirace z cestování po Evropě hlavně Azorské ostrovy, Lisabon, Berlín a pobyt na Mauriciu. Na základě toho byl vytvořen v roce 2018 obraz Odpoledne, kde se začaly objevovat první znaky eco-artu. O 4 roky později vznikl navazující další velkoformát Odpoledne 2, kde opět podmětem byl vztah člověka s faunou. V malbách z posledních let vidíme realistické zobrazování v myšlence eco-artu, částečně surrealistické, ale stále v duchu svobodného myšlení bez hranic definovaných jednotlivými uměleckými směry. Po deseti letech používání olejových barev jsou opět aplikovány i akrylové barvy, např. v sérii pěti obrazů Ranní káva hrající si s konstrukcí obrazu a zlatým řezem.
